Science and Humanity: The Extraordinary Life of Joseph H. Hamilton

Joe Hamilton retired from the Vanderbilt University in August 2022, after 64 years of service. He has had an amazing life and career, as demonstrated in part by:

  • 100 graduate students with Vanderbilt degrees
  • 120 postdocs mentored
  • 450 invited talks
  • 13 international conferences organized

  • 21 articles on science and religion plus lectures to over 11,000 people.

This event was co-chaired by Da Hsuan Feng, Lee Riedinger, and Mark Riley. The event honored Joe Hamilton for an amazing life and allowed many of his close friends and colleagues to express their gratitude. This two-hour session included short presentations about Joe's accomplishments in four different aspects of his long career and was held on June 8, 2022 via Zoom from 9 AM - 11 AM USA, Central Time.
